About Me
My name is Jeff. I have worked with photography since the age of nine.
The craft entered my life early through my grandfather, an avid reportage photographer. He gave me my first film camera, a Kiev. That camera is still on my shelf today. It marks the starting point of a practice that never left.
I am originally from Latvia. In 2022, I relocated to the Netherlands. The move became a natural inflection point. New environments, new people, and new contexts pushed photography from a long-standing discipline into focused professional work. Over time, I refined my eye, understood what subjects truly resonate with me, and recognized where my strengths consistently show.
Portraits sit at the core of my work. I photograph people, presence, and character. I also work with events, where photography becomes storytelling: concerts, workshops, corporate gatherings, and significant moments that deserve to be documented with clarity and intent.
More recently, I have begun experimenting with street photography. It sharpens observation, timing, and composition, and feeds directly back into my portrait and event work.
Outside of photography, I work as an IT consultant. This background shapes how I operate professionally. I understand corporate environments, business expectations, and structured communication. That perspective informs every collaboration, from planning to delivery.
